HatHut "R01" series discography

The first 20 albums released by HatHut have alphabetic catalog numbers. Following the last alphabetic catalog number (Y/Z/Z) release have a part numeric, part alphabetic catalog number. The first release with the new numbering system is 1R01. 22 albums have been identified with this type of catalog number running from 1R01 to 2R22. The first digit of the number indicates the whether it is a single, double or triple LP. This list may be incomplete.

Following this series of albums HatHut started using a catalog number preceded by ART for example Hat Hut ART 2029. This in turn was followed by the HatART label. ART and HatART albums will be listed on separate pages.

HatHut was founded in 1975 by Werner X. Uehlinger as a means of releasing recordings by Joe McPhee. Primarily an avant garde jazz label in the early years the label has also released a wide range of avant garde classical and new music.
